Want to put your language skills to practical use while studying languages?
Passionate about movies and series?
Dreaming about pursuing a career in subtitling?
Want to financially supplement your studies while working from anywhere?
If all of the above sounds great to you, this is your chance to enroll in a free and professional online subtitling course with personal training.
With Dicentia Studios’ Subtitling Training Course you will be trained as a Junior Subtitler
and will subsequently be able to start working as a freelancer on subtitling projects
for the biggest film distributors, TV stations and streaming platforms in the world.
In order to be considered as a candidate for our Subtitling Training Course you have to
be either educated in or currently studying one of the four Nordic languages:
Norwegian, Danish, Swedish or Finnish. If you are studying English, this is only an advantage.
Out of all applicants we will carefully select eight candidates, two from each of the four above mentioned languages.
All applicants will be submitted to a two and a half minute subtitling test
and subsequent vetting before our selection of the eight candidates.
We will not be judging our applicants’ technical subtitling abilities due to their obvious lack of experience in the field.
However, we will select candidates with an apparent flair for subtitling and the ability to create short,
concise sentences that are easy to understand, while following set guidelines.
What will the course consist of and what will you learn?
Will you get support and useful advice during the course?
